Instructions for transparent bandages (Saniderm, Tegaderm, Fixomull, etc)

All the same rules apply: No swimming, no tanning, no hot tubs, no soaking in the bath. If you work out, try and make sure you take it easy on the area tattooed.

Wash your hands well.

Wash the area that has been tattooed (over the bandage).

Warm water will help loosen the adhesive. It's okay to remove the bandage in the shower.

After removing the bandage, peeling from the edges, wash your tattoo well. Do not scrub, or use a wash cloth. Warm soapy water will be fine. Wash well to remove any debris, or fluid.

Use a CLEAN towel, or paper towel to PAT dry. Do not rub.

Do not wait more than 20 minutes to apply the second bandage.

If someone is helping you, make them wash their hands, or wear clean, single use gloves.

Make sure your hands are clean. Anything will be trapped in the bandage.

If applicable, apply the second bandage, paper side down first. Start from the center, to avoid any air bubbles.

Peel off the top layer.

The second bandage can stay on up to 5 days.

For more information, here are some videos about application, and how the bandage works.

Please feel free to call, text, or email us for any questions. We also do not mind changing your bandage for you.
